Umpires: Need to Know

The following links are to help you as a Hillside/Memorial umpire, especially if you are new to the team. There are countless resources available to you via links to official Little League videos (strongly recommended you watch those), Hillside/Memorial-specific rules, game signups, game-day routine/expectations and much more.

The most important page is Umpire Resources, especially for new umps. If you could not make the training session a couple weeks before opening day, this is the best resource to get you up to speed.

The second most important page is Game-time Routine. This explains how a typical game day is expected to be for you.

Next is probably the Ump Accessories page. It shows what equipment is available to you each time you ump and what you should have for each game. It is very important to review this entire page to be prepared each time.

The Our Umpire Program page provides a basic explanation of what we do as league umpires.

Of course, the Game Sign Up page cannot be forgotten. It explains the age regulations the league put into place plus what each position pays and has links to each signup.
